The Waxhaw Woodturners club is a friendly group of people with a common interest that promotes the art of woodturning through our monthly meetings, demonstrations, and videos to help you learn and hone your skills and are here to help you become a better woodturner. The highlight of our monthly meetings is a woodturning demonstration by a featured woodturner showing specifics on how to make all kinds of fancy and simple creations. These meetings allow the opportunity to meet many people who have a passion for woodturning and are more than willing to share their knowledge with others.  Our meetings also feature show and tell items brought in by our members as well as some great raffle prizes!  Visitors are always welcome!

Membership dues are $40 per year for single members, $60 per year for families and are payable on the first of January. Unless we have a workshop or special demonstration that would require the club to cover more costs, we have no additional fees.To make a payment, there are two choices available: Either with cash/check at a club meeting made payable to Waxhaw Woodturners or you may pay online with PayPal* by clicking here to be redirected.

If paying via PayPal, please be sure to include your name and address in order for your membership to be properly recorded. We encourage our members to come to the demonstrations where quality ideas and methods are presented. Our club has been known as folks that help each other, not requiring any specific skill level. Novices and veterans are welcome. Come and have the time of your life!

In two of the many ways that we try to give back to our community is by turning Beads of Courage boxes and Wig Stands. The boxes are collected and donated to area hospitals through the Beads of Courage program where they are given to children undergoing treatment, while the Wig Stands are donated to Carolina Breast Friends where they are given to those undergoing treatment.

On the first Saturday of each month (weather depending), the Waxhaw Woodturners attend the Waxhaw Farmers Market to provide information about or club, demonstrate various turning techniques and turning wooden spinning tops to hand out to the young... and the young at heart.
