Demonstration by John Benton and Election of Officers November 3, 2015

 Hello Fellow Waxhaw Woodturners.

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 3 at 6:30 PM.  As usual we will be meeting at Dave and Joan McKeithan’s shop in Waxhaw (7105 Steele Road).  Our program will be led by John Benton who will provide us information and demonstrations about woodturning safety, tool sharpening, turning sushi platters and, time permitting, he will wrap up with coloring and decorating the platters. This is a great demo and a lot of info will be shared.  Come prepared to lean in close, take notes and enjoy John’s presentation.  Here are a few photos of John’s work:

Be prepared to elect new officers for 2016.
Positions are:

- President
- Vice-President
- Secretary-Treasurer
- Director.

Come early to sample Joan’s famous coffee and share a few woodturning stories, tips, ticks and techniques with the other members.  Bring a friend or relative and let them see how much fun we have.

We will also have a show-n-tell so bring your latest creations to show off.  And don’t forget the raffle.  We will have a few woodturning related items and wood to raffle off.  Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.  If you have any extra woodturning tools or wood you would like to donate, please bring them with you.
See you next Tuesday evening.
